How do I change my password?

To change your password, click/tap on ‘Settings’ in the top menu bar and choose ‘Change password’ from the dropdown options.

Do I have to complete my profile?

In order to use the platform all you need to give us is your name and email address. But if you want to make it easier for other users to engage with you, it’s a good idea to fill out the rest of your profile and tell people a bit more about yourself and your involvement in RE teaching and research.

Can I edit my profile information?

Yes, you can edit your profile at any time. Just click/tap on ‘My profile’ in the top menu bar and you can enter any changes you want. Remember to press ‘Save my profile’ when you’re finished or your changes will be lost.

How will you use my information?

We only use your information to give researchers demographic data to accompany the feedback they get. We won’t add you to any email lists you haven’t signed up for or pass your details on to any third parties.

Can I print pages from the site?

Yes, it’s possible to print any page on your screen. Just select ‘Print’ from your browser’s menu, or press Control-P (on a PC) or Command-P (on a Mac).

How long will it take to review and post my research report once I’ve submitted it?

We carefully check every report before we publish it to make sure it’s legitimate, relevant and high-quality, so it won’t appear on the platform immediately. The process of reviewing research can take anything from two days to two weeks, but on average your report is likely to be posted within one week of submission. And we’ll let you know as soon as it’s live.

How do I edit a research report, idea, or opportunity I’ve shared?

Our careful review process means that you can’t make any edits without going through our moderators. But we’ve tried to make that process as easy as possible. To edit a research idea or opportunity you need to click/tap on ‘My uploads’ in the top menu bar, choose the relevant idea/opportunity and select ‘Request edits’. Then a blank email will appear, already addressed to us, and you can type your changes into the body of the email. We’ll review your changes as quickly as possible and amend your idea/opportunity accordingly. We’ll let you know when your changes are posted.

How do I delete a research report, idea, or opportunity I’ve shared?

Just click/tap on ‘My uploads’ on the top menu bar, select the relevant report, idea, or opportunity and click/tap the delete icon in the bottom right of the tile. You’ll be asked to confirm the deletion, which gives you a chance to think twice – as once a report, idea, or opportunity has been deleted it can’t be undone.

How do I contact people who’ve responded to my opportunities and ideas?

We’ll send you an email with the details of anyone who’s responded to your posts, so you can get in touch with them outside of the platform.

How do I rate a research report?

You have two opportunities to rate a research report. You can give some initial feedback – just two quick questions and a star rating – based on your first impressions of the research. Then at a later date, once you’ve had a chance to consider the research more deeply and possibly use it in a teaching or research context, you’ll get an email asking you for slightly more detailed feedback.

Can I give more detailed feedback straight away if I want to?

Yes. Click on the name of the researcher on the left hand side of the research report and send them a direct message letting them know your immediate thoughts and questions.

Am I required to give feedback on a report if I use it?

There’s no obligation to give feedback, but it’s a great way to help researchers better understand how their work is received and applied, which enables them to create more relevant research for you in the future.

How do I add/remove something in my favourites?

To add any report, idea, or collaboration opportunity to your favourites, just click/tap the heart button in the top-right corner of any tile. Then just click/tap it again to remove the item from your favourites.
